April is certainly NOT the cruelest month, judging from Glen Hanson’s 2006 G-Man calendar, where April showers (above) are about to bring May flowers — and other budding things.

The master cartoonist, whose T-shirts, comic strips, and gorgeous G-Men (for Glen’s Men) we have celebrated on these pages before, is one of Nightcharm’s most prolific friends. He offers this calendar to Inner Circle members for free (details below) — how’s that for the Christmas spirit?

As calendars go, this one has got to be the Circuit Boy’s Bible — the sort of hotshot circuit boy who has the time and means to fly all over the world. Every white party, black party, gay ski weekend and Gay Day in Disney World is notated.

Want to know when the Bunnies on the Bayou party is in Houston? — that would be Sunday April 16. How about the HERO Festival in Auckland New Zealand (February 12-26) or Gay Pride in Amsterdam (August 3-7 — yes, an entire week of celebration! Is that one stoned party town or what!)

Along with the traditional red-letter days (Easter, Mother’s Day, Rosh Hashana) are such quirky treats as the 78th Annual Academy Awards (Sunday March 5) and the start of international film festivals (Sundance January 19, Tribeca April 25, Cannes May 17.)
