We don’t know much about the world of professional wrestling. But show us the picture of a six-foot-six, 280 pounds, blazing red haired guy like Sheamus O’Shaunessy and we want to learn. We really want to learn.
Lucky for us that we discovered Sheamus (how hot is his name?) just before March 17, giving us a holiday-inspired excuse to name him Nightcharm’s pick for Hunkiest St. Patrick’s Day Mascot of 2007. You didn’t think there was such an honor, did you? (That’s OK, neither did we.)
A graduate of Dublin’s Irish Whip Wrestling School, Seamus is a multi-winning IWW champion and is getting ready to pin Hollywood to the mat with his role in the prison break thriller The Escapist. He’ll star opposite Joseph Fiennes and Brian Cox as the hellion inmate from hell, Two Ton. How fun!
Here are other stats you need to know about our ruddy and glowing St. Patty’s Day lucky charm:
• He hails from Dublin and grew up in a 200 year old Georgian house.
• Seamus is a natural redhead and he has the freckles to prove it.
• He has provided personal security for U2’s Bono on several occasions.
• O’Shaunessy played Gaelic Football for Erin’s Isle and Rugby for The National College of Ireland.
• He picked up his IWW nickname “The Irish Curse” wrestling in the USA in 2002 after taking down an opponent behind the referee’s back with lethal low blows to the guy’s crotch.
Delve deeper into O’Shaunessy’s “I’m bringing ginger back” world over on his very cool website.
And Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Thanks to Jockohomo for the tip off.

OOOH!!!! I feel faint I’d say there’s some crock of gold at the end of his Rainbow. Please Sheamus let ME look under your four leafed Clover…….. He can rear end me anyday!
REDHEAD BLISS. This guy redefines manhood — and then some. THANK YOU!
If I may nominate another redhead: Rusty Malinoski, Canadian national wakeboard team member (link)
Maybe not a coppertop, but hey, would you kick him out of bed for that?
Humina-humina-humina… nice one!
He’s an electrician by day! I kid you not, and even that’s hot!
