We know there are fanatics out there.
Guys who go off their nut, out of their skulls, totally bonkers for foreskin.
Guys who feel terribly deprived — more than that, outraged! — at finding themselves circumcised by some cruel play of fate and modern science, who try one sad scheme after another to grow back that silly little millimeter extra.
And yes, we plead guilty to catering to this obsession. In the lovely literature we publish in the back of the Inner Circle — those fiction tales designed to enlighten, teach and be read with one hand — nary a circumcised cock ever lifts its bare head in anything like triumph.
So it’s time we spent a few moments in heavy thought on — what else? — cock. The uncut kind.
We wonder if the mania for foreskin is little like the discrete charm of half-dressed men. When we wrote on that phenomenon, we concluded it was eye-hunger — the frank aggressiveness of the male gaze — that was more maddened, more stimulated, more challenged by what was unseen.
But let’s pull the … um, curtain back a bit further. Uncut cocks also suggest natural, unadulterated manliness. There is something of Maurice and the groundskeeper, of the duchess and the gardener, in the cut’s obsession with the uncut.
The uncut man seems more primitive, closer to the earth, unsoftened by civilization.
Translation, a really hot fuck.
And we brainy types need sometimes to be brought down to earth, no? A little ‘ol ass-whop never hurt anyone, yes?
This quest for authenticity in manhood would explain what has been called “The Restoration Movement.”
MSNBC reports:
As for bringing back a foreskin, those in the restoration movement describe two methods. They rarely discuss the first, perhaps because many harbor a deep distrust of doctors: skin tissue, usually from the scrotum, is surgically grafted to the penis shaft in a way that replicates the foreskin’s shape and function.
The other method essentially requires a man to stretch himself a new foreskin from his existing penis tissue. A variety of methods and devices help accomplish this — elastic bands, weighted metal containers, even special tape. Some are commercial products with names like P.U.D. (Penile Uncircumcision Device) and Tug Ahoy.
Others are homemade with anything from silicone caulk to brass instrument mouthpieces. Several ounces of weights are sometimes added to speed the process. …
All of these products distend the skin forward toward the glans and hold it in place to induce new cell growth, essentially forcing new skin to be created. Regrowth often takes years, with devices worn for 10 to 12 hours each day. …
Of course, it’s impossible to truly restore foreskin and restorers admit results are partial at best. Certain specialized nerve endings simply won’t return.
But fret not, O, ye of little foreskin. The health benefits of circumcision are well documented — despite all the melodramatic claims to the contrary made by the uncut fanatics.
The latest evidence appeared just last week and involves an issue that has touched most of us directly: AIDS.
From Reuters:
Circumcising men routinely across Africa could prevent millions of deaths from AIDS, World Health Organization researchers and colleagues reported on Monday. …
Researchers believe circumcision helps cut infection risk because the foreskin is covered in cells the virus seems able to easily infect. The virus may also survive better in a warm, wet environment like that found beneath a foreskin…
Last year, Dr. Bertran Auvert… and colleagues at WHO found that circumcised men in South Africa were 65 percent less likely to become infected with the deadly and incurable virus.
“In West Africa, male circumcision is common and the prevalence of HIV is low, while in southern Africa the reverse is true,” they wrote in the current report, published in the Public Library of Science Medicine.
“This analysis shows that male circumcision could avert nearly six million new infections and save three million lives in sub-Saharan Africa over the next twenty years.” …
“Male circumcision alone cannot bring the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa under control. Even circumcised men can become infected, though their risk of doing so is much lower,” the journal cautioned in a commentary.
The Stranger, an alternative paper in Seattle, offers this wry observation on the news:
But will Africa’s men sit still for the mandatory snip?
God knows that circumcision is, for all but the exceedingly unlucky, the worst thing that will ever happen to one’s genitals.
However, losing your immune system is worse, and here’s hoping Africa follows through with its 10-year Harvest of Foreskins.
And one more thing: in Bantu, a language family common to sub-Saharan Africa, the word for foreskin is — do strap yourself in — Oprah!

I for one am very happy that I am circumsized. I love to see the head of a mans cock at all times, soft or hard. I think that is the sexiest part of a mans body. I was circumsized when I was 8
days old a custom of the Jewish people. I do not miss what I never had. As I said before I like the way a cut cock looks. There have been studies in Jewish women and those that are married to Jewish men have the lowest incidence of cervical cancer. Now reading this article just proves one more time that it is better to be cut than to receive the HIV virus or pass it
on. Sorry guys, but that is how I feel personally.
I personally am extremely happy I still have everything God gave to me. I like the look and feel of it: my penis always looks healthy and hydrated, and because I am a clean man, it smells nice too
The biggest advantage, to me at least, is that my forseskin is very sensitive and one of the sexiest spots you (or myself) can touch me.
I head with some men (not all) that smegma becomes a real issue with foreskin even when they clean like 5 tiems a day. So for some I think cut is practical.
I belive the man wearing the penis should make their own choice about circumcision.
I was not consulted as a baby, it was just done. It cannot be undone without a long uncomfortable to very painful stretchng process that quite often produces no results or other problems. If the man has enough loose skin that can be harvested from his scrotum, then he can take the very risky (Staph infection) surgical route.
The doctor that did mine when I was a baby did it wrong, it is too tight which makes sex painful sometimes. My younger brother is lucky, a different doctor did his and left him more so he doesn’t have the too-tight problem. There are guys that suffered even more, including developing infections and eventually the complete loss of penis, scrotum and testicles following circumcision.
Plus I like the way a cock feels with some loose skin, I like pulling foreskin back to reveal the head. And, what is wrong with incorporating a shower as foreplay? I like the idea of soaping up my guy’s body in the shower before hitting the sack that way I get my hands all over him.
When I was younger it seemed that every penis I saw was cut. Bring uncut - I was ashamed of my penis, and often considered circumcision as a teeneager. As an adult - I am grateful that I have my foreskin. I have met some guys who are so turned off by foreskin that would not have sex - but I have met many more that are totally into, and only sleep with uncut guys. But generally - it has never been an issue.
I am conscious of the hygene issues, keep myself clean and have never had any health problems. Recent articles I’ve read contradict earlier articles saying that uncut guys are less at risk for HIV when they top. Who knows - all I know is I love my cock, and I love my foreskin.
Thanks mom and dad for leaving me intact!!
I just looked over the data for that particular study (link) and noticed that the raw data used was taken from the fact that West Africa has a high cut/low infection rate and in southern Africa the reverse is true. This means that this is more of a geographic study and less of a penile one. There are way too many things going on culturally in the west and south of Africa to say that the difference here is circumcision. I’m not a statistics expert at this point, and racial “corrections” were used in the math, but the west/south correlation is just too broad. I’m very skeptical, but then again the surface under the foreskin is very thin and tender. I know from experience that rubbing it raw is not diffcult, especially during…longer sessions. Whatever, I love my foreskin, but it’s always worth giving it a wash (before and after) and playing safe.
I am cut and hate it. I never got the choice. I’m not mad at my parents or anything, I’m over that. They did was they assumed was best for me. I do wish they hadn’t, but I’m not mad. I’ve tried the restoration thing. Did it on my own: no surgery. I used tape. I got like 1/16th of an inch back after a month. That’s why I gave up. Like it said in the article, it takes forever to get it all back. Luckily, I already had a little left from when they circumcised me. I guess I’ll have to live with it and vicariously through the uncut guys I sleep with. But I’m definitely not circumcising my son when I have one.
Foreskin, foreskin, foreskin… what a story! Man this was pretty interesting really, and I’m glad ever more to NOT live in Africa where they are all going to prevent AIDS with cutting of pieces of dick. Yech
Anyway; what does that little extra or less of skin matter around a chunk of meat? It’s the meat that counts, does the butcher make you pay for the skin he leaves on the chicken legs? Without they just cost more.
If circumcision prevented HIV infection, then the USA, the most circumcised developed nation, would have the lowest HIV infection rate. In reality, we have the highest HIV infection rate in the developed world.
Circumcision clearly has not improved HIV/AIDS problem.
It is interesting to me that the images accompanying this entry are Mapplethorpe, images of men of color. Equally interesting that the entry is subtitled “Boys in the Hood.” While very punny, it seems to point out something implicit in all this writing about uncut dick - further alluded to by the sentence “The uncut man seems more primitive, closer to the earth, unsoftened by civilization.” Perhaps the slobbering fixation on foreskin is partially due to oft-held notions that Person Of Color = Hypersexual.
I just asked my dick if he thought that he should have been circumsized when I was young and he spit at me. Its really a pity that this pointless practice has been forced on the majority of American males. But I suppose you don’t miss what you didn’t really have long enough to appreciate. As for religious purposes if God wanted us clipped he would have made us that way and eliminated the middle man. Thanks Mom and Dad.
Wonder what Michelangelo was thinking when he sculpted the uncircumcised DAVID? A mistake? Maybe, because it couldn’t have been for esthetic values!
You forgot the loudest allusion of all, whygreenberg:
“…in Bantu, a language common to sub-Saharan Africa, the word for foreskin is — do strap yourself in — Oprah!”
let me just observe that this is really a repulsive topic!
Black men have foreskin. So do white men. Black men are circumcised. So are white men. This is an entry on foreskin, not on race.
Mapplethorpe favored photographing black men. Either we’re told we don’t have black men on our site, or we’re told we shouldn’t use them.
Stop trying to police us. If you think we’re racist or that we imagine there’s something to gain by belittling a portion of our readers, there’s nothing we can do to persuade you otherwise.
Reason never cured myopia.
Thankfully, I was born during a blizzard and the only person in the hospital who knew how to perform the circumcisions had gotten herself drunk. Getting hold of someone else to do it would have been too much trouble, and my parents didn’t particularly care anyway, so I escaped the knife. Serendipity.
I cannot begin to imagine how much less sensitive a penis must be from lack of a foreskin. I have on rare occasion gotten my foreskin pulled back as my junk shifted around in my shorts, so that the unprotected head of my penis was pressed directly against the cotton fabric of my underwear–it HURTS! The head is sensitive enough that the texture and friction of fabric burns. One would think that cut dicks must be freaking worn numb after a lifetime of rubbing and chafing against rough cloth.
My assumption is that notions of an uncut cock being unclean or laden with smelly smegma come from decades of advocacy for circumcision. Scare tactics. I wash, plain and simple. If one’s dick is covered with accumulated gunk, I’m pretty sure it would be because one is a filthy unhygenic beast.
Oh, and besides having an extremely sensitive penis, I have never, ever needed a lubricant to masturbate. In fact, not only is lube totally unnecessary, something like hand-lotion would actually be irritating.
A semantical note: “Bantu” is not the name of a language. It is the name of a family of dozens of languages spoken by over 300 million people all across Africa, some of which may not use the word “Oprah” in reference to foreskins.
(Just one person’s attempt to dismantle the all-too-common tendency to refer to Africa and Africans in monolithic terms.)
as A women I love your website not gay myself I like the not having to look at women being degraded. On fore skin I have had sex with one man who was not “cut” and I must say he was far more sensitive the a cut man. I agree with Tuffy on the hygene. great website guys!!
I read that the lack of circumcision can reduce the transmission of AIDS
sorry I said that before reading that that had already been written. I don’t think that circumcised people should be ashamed as lots of ppl like them that way, just support anti-circumcision and do not circumcise your own children for their own good.
Aesthetically, I find uncut cocks a bit ugly. But they sure are fun to play with in my mouth! I am glad that mine is cut, even if the circumcision scar is ugly. My cock is PLENTY sensitive, even after a lifetime of rubbing on rough fabrics, 3-day stubble anr the occasional chipped tooth. I think that any man that spends a lot of time trying to restore a bit of skin should better spend that time finding fun places to put his beautiful, cut cock to use.
It might be useful to remember that not only the dick is important, but also the individual attached to it and his sexual skills
This being said, here’s just my pennyworth of mumbling about the subject:
Like most Europeans I’m uncut, I enjoy it and I can assure you that if you shower on a daily basis, you won’t have any problems with smegma etc. My boyfriend is cut, I have had great sex with American guys who are cut (the American troops stationed in the South-West of Germany are a big ASSet to the gay life in this region, but better don’t ask, I won’t tell…) although I have a preference for uncut cock. I only wonder why many Americans (pardon me for generalizing in a way which might be abusive) are so hysterical about issues of hygiene - a little whiff of manly scent “down there” can be more of a turn on than Calvin Klein’s Obsesion, I think (I’m not really into raunch, though). I have the impression that even the slightest hint of “uncleanliness” gets you completely upset. I remember an episode of “Sex and the City” where the main character threw a hysterical fit because she had farted after making love with a guy. I mean, stuff happens, like Donald Rumsfeld would say, that’s nature, why making a big fuss about it?
I’m glad to hear uncut men telling the truth. The foreskin is there for a purpose - uncut guys don’t know what they are missing.
The guys who were uncut and then chose to be cut - must have had some serious problems (tightness, infection, shame). For the rest of us the foreskin is a prized possession!!
I hate that I grew up feeling so out of place and ashamed. Maybe kids today will have it better.
I am straight and uncut, and it is great!
As a child I was the only one uncut, and I hated it, but now I wouldn’t change if for the world.
So many guys are curious and want to know what its like. I’ll bet its the same guys who used to tease me about being an anteater.
I wash behind my ears, I don’t chop them off.
Seriously though, I’m amazed at how men whose parents mutilated their genitals are so psychologically healthy about it - most tend to take it in their stride and decide rightly that there’s no point in worrying about it anymore than you should worry about any other scar. Heck, if you can decide you like it better for yourself, all the better! I suspect it helped that entire generations were chopped together, but that’s no longer the case at least here in Canada where doctors recommend against it and it is not covered by our national health insurance. Other cut men are secretly messed up about it and insist on having their baby boys cut up to prove that they’re A-OK jack, then rationalize with whatever hypothesis they can scare up. Outside of religious reasons, it is usually the circumcised father who insists on it, which adds up to nothing more than a disturbing cycle of abuse in otherwise healthy families.
As for HIV and hygiene, let’s be serious, would you want your child to think that because they’re circumcised they don’t need to bother with condoms or bathing? Heck, if we cut your balls off you’d never get testicular cancer, and you’d never have smelly dirty itchy balls either! Your kid won’t get cavities if you yank their teeth out as fast as they grow in! A new cure for bad breath? No STIs like HIV, unwanted pregnancies or problems with overpopulation if you just cut every newborn’s cock right off! Not quite willing? What about 1/2 off? 1/4? What about just the head?
If the law were consistent, it would be illegal to mutilate any percentage of any part of your child. Once grown up anybody can elect to have anything of their own cut off. NO it DOES NOT HURT LESS when you’re a newborn (that’s not even plausible). It’s a clear matter of prerogative; yours not your parents’, because its your cock, not theirs, not just as a child but as an adult too.
As an adult circ I absolutely love my circumcised dick. Mine is moderately high and tight when I am erect. I feel everything I did before with much more intensity now. This is because the foreskin is a protective cover and it means less friction and less sensation. The foreskin is important for penis development in the womb but not after. In fact, it can get rather troublesome for some guys who get alot of fungus problems and worse BXO and fimosis or constriction of the foreskin on the penis.
I can not understand what the RIC guys are upset about. But not having a choice certainly sucks. Not knowing what you would have felt like must be a mystery and something that you might think you missed out on. But dont worry about that so much believe me it feels best to me being circ’d now.
Ok you guys can bombard me with your messages but I have been in both shoes now and I know.
Being circ’d and tight feels right.
I’m a teenager, and I live in a place where all the boys around me has circumcised dicks…and mine isnt circumcised, and I feel so ashamed and shy, that I cant even look at my self naked
No need:
Just remember yours is perfectly normal. The other boys foreskins have been mutilated, which is, well, unfortunate for them because unlike you they have no choice. If nobody had ever done it and some parent did that to their baby, they’d be put in prison same as if they’d chopped their baby’s ear off. But you’re right, a lot of things are like that - when the majority of people do something it gets redefined as good - even when it isn’t. People used to think it was good to smoke, now after so much cancer and bronchitis we know better. People used to think that left handed people were evil, and left handed children were forced to write with their right hand. High heels were once normal, even expected; now most women avoid them because they seriously cripple your feet. Being clean shaven used to be a status symbol because it proved you were at least middle-class, but now that razors are dirt cheap shaving your face clean is falling out of fashion (just pick up any men’s fashion magazine, all the models sport short clipped facial hair.) With the rise of antibiotic resistant staph (bacterial skin infection), a well groomed man who refuses to shave to the skin is probably a smart man. Likewise, parents who don’t amputate parts off of their child just because everyone else around them does it are probably smart parents - you are the lucky one.
I’m a bisexual teenager, who lived in California, and while many were circumcised, there were quite a few who weren’t. I’ve never felt ashamed or emberassed. I see no reason to. I love my foreskin, and think that it really is a shame many males don’t have a choice in the matter. I wash daily, but even if I didn’t it wouldn’t matter. I actually, for some reason, stopped getting much smegma under there after the 6th grade. It’s really quite convinient. I still wonder why. I hope to find out soon, it might help others. I do prefer uncut cocks, both asthetically and otherwise, but I’ll take what I’m given. Though, to my disappointment, you no longer have to shower, one day, we had to due to a long series of event I won’t go into. But often we swam, which meant getting nude and changing into boxers or such. I actually enjoyed being in the locker rooms, getting the occasional stare, and to have our eyes meet. They get so nervous. I supposed you can’t really trust many people these days, at least in a school enviorment. You might know how it is..though it has changed. Often they don’t realize they are getting quite close and intimate. They’ll pinch their bottoms when passing by, and give each other smiles, or poke at their chests. And often it’s the straight jocks who do this. It suprises me. I suppose its human nature to get intimate with other males to some extent at least. I found myself in a pleasant enviorment in the locker room and showers, but occasionally, you would find the classic basher or two. He’ll go around making fun of you or others, for being intimate or acting “gay”. Homophobia in modern society is something to behold. It’s quite odd. And the thing that’s most bizzare is that, they do it for the attention, for the boost in self esteem and mood, and because they (though they might not realize it) have homosexual tendencies themselves. Though they might not be apperant, they probably hover beneath the surface, desires and such. Hm…I’ve gone quite off topic. Well, to finish off, I should say that I don’t think that the circumsion helps much to prevent STD’s, but if the men (not newborns) in Africa want to, then I suppose its worth a shot. Well, its too bad I didn’t get to experience it as some did, since I’m out already.
I’m straight and uncut, and growing up in America, this can be a horrible thing. I only knew one friend who was uncut like me, and he was so neurotic about it that he nearly butchered himself one night with a penknife. That aside, I could care less at this point in my life. I’m in college and I’ve never slept with a girl who cared either way.
But using the idea that it will prevent HIV is absurd. Prevention needs to start way before you even have sex.
yea i was wondering if you guys ever had trouble pulling the foreskin all the way past the head. Because I’m uncut and I just can’t do it when I’m hard, it just won’t go past, and when I do pullit back when my dick’s soft, and I get hard it hurts like fuck. Is there anybody who has this problem and knows how to fix it?
Hey there John, there is a way and it is actually suprisingly trouble free! It is called the BeaugeMethod and basically involves manual stretches, which are far more fun than they sound!
Check out my website for more: (link)
comment, born in UK, moved to Canada at 6 yo,, my cock was the only uncut cock, I saw until I was 13 over here they are all cut,,, poor guys, as far as cutting a boy for ritual its BS, someone decides your destiny (if your religion dictates this, what if you decide later in life you don’t agree with your parents religious choices, your fucked), before circumcision there was no big need for lubrication, now its almost a must for them, as the cut cock pulls the natural lubrication out of the vagina,
As far as clean goes its all in the mind, I have had sex with girls and they don’t even know I am uncut until I tell them! Pull your skin back,,Guys who were cut tight look like they might bust open when hard,
Being one of the rare uncut guys here all the girls who fucked me when I was a teen told there friends I was different, and lucky for me they all wanted to have an uncut cock
j
Mmmmm, I want to suck their cock all night long. Me so horny!!!
Hey guys. I think all of you are really too much concerned about the issue…Having it or not is exactly the same: if you are confortable with it your partner(s) will too, that’s for sure! And I disagree with the possibility of choice being a true matter, in fact, only a few part of humans (in comparative terms) trully disagree with something they didn’t had the chance to choose: being a male or a female, and still are very happy with what they are. Also I am sure you only can tell if it is better to be circunsized or not in sexual performance once you had the opportunity to experience it both aways and long enough, which I can see none of you have! So how can you tell? And for women or bottom male partners, well they probably fantasize more one thing than the other, but honestly, has anybody dedicated their sexual life and pleasure to comparative studies??!! Be happy and make as much love as you want and (still) can, that’s a matter!!
I’m living in USA, unfortunelaly in this country very few guys are uncut. Hispanics have the highest percent 45% of hispanisc male are uncut. I love uncut specially anteater foreskins that pungent odor like fresh fish made me crazy
i am 49 years old i live in the uk and i was circumcised when i was 5 days old for hygenic reason i am so gland i was i have never had a UTI of any type i real dont know what all the debate is about 7 years ago i got married and my wife was more than happy for our son to be circumcised at birth he is now 5 he goes to a private play group and they senoir work there said that most boys there were cut so our so was not out of place
I am a 34 year latino male, I am so proud that my culture believes in leaving the penis intact. All the males in my family are uncut. I am glad I have what nature gave me. I love it.
No foreskin is like a mouth with no lips, shameful and barbaric mutilation!
As a Western secular humanist who had no choice, there is no way I will ever accept the lame-ass backwards excuse that circumcision is justified as a religious or cultural tradition. Fuck political correctness. I don’t give a shit who it offends. Circumcision is unnecessary, unnatural and cruel. When I look at the majority of cultures today who still routinely circumcise their babies and children, they are either turbulent and/or dangerous (Middle East- Jewish and Islamic), Third World (much of Africa) or a sexually-repressed-arrogant-superpower (USA). Pro-circ people are sick assholes who watch too much 1980/90s American porn.
As a kid from the 60’s I was one of about 2% that was left intact. I’m sure glad my parents had the wherewithal to leave my genitals alone. I am so sick of people labeling uncut cocks as smelly or diseased. I keep myself and my genitals clean and have never had any complications, disease or otherwise, related to them. If leaving males intact causes STDs and HIV then why do statistics from Europe, South America and Asia not support the uncut/high_infection data. If you believe the pro-circ propaganda then we should see astronomically high instances of these maladies in the 80% of the world’s males that are left as nature intended, but that is not the case. The data do not support that. Bottom line: don’t mutilate the genitals of males OR females!
The fact is, men are supposed to have a foreskin. The whole cleanliness thing is a myth - cut dicks need cleaning too! If it smells or has dick cheese then it simply hasn’t been cleaned whether it’s cut or not. Uncut dicks are way more sensitive than cut dicks. These men with freaky numb dry mushroom-shaped mutilated scarred dicks are just jealous.
Crazy religious activity-hey maybe we should cut off breasts to avoid breast cancer? no? exactly.
I’m not cut and I wash daily and smell like my aftershave.
My partner loves it after being with cut men. During sex it looks cut anyway.
I think people who don’t wash under there or anywhere for that matter probably caused smells and fungus -hey you’ll get that anywhere if you don’t wash!
Religious cermony have been carried out to prevent masturbation as it was deemed wrong.
If it wasn’t natures way of protecting the sensitive glands then it would not be there in the first place.
Cut men masturbate differently and do not have the full pleasure of uncut men as they will never know the sensitivity but with what they do know they still enjoy sexual activity etc.
They are trying to encourage this barbaric act by claiming it prevents HIV.
Well a cut penis will harden up the skin and the rate of fluid transport is not as great as a uncut penis-hence it will help but prevent HIV-try to be faithful or wear a condom-know your sexual history?
Keep it clean and if you got it up-keep it up!
